What is the population of the Township of Springwater?

According to Statistics Canada census figures released on March 13, 2007, the Township of Springwater is the fifth-largest municipality in Simcoe County.

The population of Springwater currently sits at 17,457 -- an 8.4 percent increase over the past five years.  Historical population figures for the Township of Springwater are as follows:

 

2006 Census   -   17,456 (+8.4% since 2001)
2001 Census   -   16,104 (+ 8.9% since 1996)
1996 Census   -   14,793 (+12.3% since 1991)
