The Township of Springwater has one standing Committee of Council, several Advisory Committees, and many internal and external Boards and Commissions.

The deadline to submit the Committee Application Form is November 30, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. Submit completed application forms by email to or in person or by mail to 2231 Nursery Road, Minesing L9X 1A8. Applications will be considered by Council at the beginning of 2019.

Township committees seeking applications include:

 Committee  Description
Agricultural Advisory Committee Provide input on issues in the agricultural community, including the implementation of provincial, federal and municipal guidelines and legislation, local matters, and public awareness and education of agricultural and rural issues. 
Committee of Adjustment Act in accordance with the Planning Act by providing adequate notice and processing all applications objectively. The Committee meets monthly and processes these applications: consents and minor variances. 
Cultural Activities Advisory Committee Celebrate and leverage Springwater's cultural resources and implement the Township's 2012 Municipal Cultural Plan. Network with community groups to plan community events and cultural activities.
Heritage Advisory Committee Preserve the Township's historical, cultural and natural heritage and advise Council on regulated matters. Promote heritage conservation in Springwater, including the designation of properties and maintenance of the Heritage Register and Inventory.  
Planning & Development Advisory Committee Act in accordance with the Planning Act and objectively review and provide feedback on the Township's Official Plan as required. 
Recreation Advisory Committee Advise Council on programming and the operation of Township facilities and parks using the Parks & Recreation Master Plan. Network with users and community groups to promote recreation in Springwater.
Trails Advisory Committee Using the Trails Master Plan and Parks & Recreation Master Plan, advise Council on Springwater's trail system. Promote advancement of recreational and off road trails and make recommendations related to the planning and implementation of the trail system.

 Fence-Viewer Respond to calls from the Clerk to investigate complaints in accordance with the Line Fences Act. Fence-viewers respond to situations regarding the placement of fences and also where a tree from either property falls on the line fence.

Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee With the County of Simcoe and Area Municipalities, members assist the Township in promoting and facilitating a barrier-free Springwater for citizens of all abilities (universal accessibility), including persons with disabilities.

Livestock Investigator Livestock Investigators respond to the loss of Livestock Claims by farmers in the Township to determine the value of claim to be awarded and submit a report to the Township for processing, in accordance with the Livestock, Poultry and Honey Bee Protection Act.
