Licenses

The Clerk's Office oversees the distribution and enforcement of various licenses and permits including auctioneers, campgrounds, kennels, refreshment vehicles, lotteries, and special occasion permits.

Application - Business Licence Gun Clubs and Ranges
By-law 2012-014

Gun Clubs and Shooting Ranges in operation on the date of passage of this by -law, must obtain an interim Business Licence and provide the prescribed documents within 120 days of the date of the interim Business Licence. For the period of 120 days from the date of the interim Business Licence, a Gun Club or Shooting Range is exempt from Schedule 1, Paragraph D of the Noise By -law. An interim Business Licence may be revoked should the prescribed documents not conform to this by l-aw or the Noise By-law.

Lottery Licenses

The Township issues Lottery Licenses for Break Open Tickets (Nevadas) and Raffle Lotteries with a prize value under $50,000. There are no Bingo Halls located in Springwater.
Prior to the issuance of a license, the applicant must:

  • Submit proof of charitable status (first license only)
  • Submit a signed Raffle Application Form or Break Open Ticket Application Form
  • Meet all Provincial terms and conditions, including financial reporting
  • Provide any necessary documentation required by the Licensing Officer
  • Pay lottery license fee

The Licensing Officer reviews all Lottery License applications to determine specific eligibility.  Please contact the Licensing Officer for further information.

Lottery License Fees

Raffle Lottery - 3% of prize value or minimum fee of $5.00

Break Open Lottery Ticket - 3% of prize value
