Flags at the Township of Springwater Administration Centre have been lowered to half-mast as a mark of respect to the victims of the shootings in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia.
The Township of Springwater extends its heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and all those affected by the shootings in Tumbler Ridge. Our thoughts are with the community of Tumbler Ridge during this difficult time.

The Township Administration Centre will be closed for the Family Day Holiday on Monday, February 16, 2026. The office will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Midhurst Railway Crossing Reopened Following Temporary Disruption for Emergency Crossing Repairs

The Township of Springwater is advising residents, commuters, and visitors that CPKC has completed the emergency repairs at the Midhurst railway crossing located on Highway 26 in Springwater.
Traffic is now able to proceed through the area; however, motorists are reminded to continue to use caution, obey all posted signage, and watch for any remaining roadside or rail-related personnel or equipment that may still be present as crews demobilize.
