The Government of Ontario has announced a three-step plan to gradually ease public health measures in an effort to blunt the spread of the Omicron variant. Each step of reopening will be separated by 21 days to allow public health trends to be monitored.
Effective January 31, 2022 at 12:01 a.m., the remaining public health measures will include but are not limited to:
- Limiting social gatherings to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.
- Limiting the following indoor public settings to 50% capacity:

Public Meeting – 86 Mill Street Inc.
An additional public meeting was held regarding a Zoning By-law Amendment to permit the creation of three new lots and one retained lot on the property at 86 Mill Street East in Hillsdale. The proposed amendment would allow for a reduced minimum lot frontage of 28.3 meters and rezone a portion of the retained lands to the Environmental Protection Zone. Following the public meeting, Council moved forward with the approval of the Zoning By-law Amendment.

Please be advised that the installation of the sanitary effluent main and minor tree clearing along Wilson Drive and Highway 26 is scheduled to commence on Monday, January 24, 2022. This work is estimated to be completed June 2022, weather dependent, during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. along Wilson Drive and the below noted hours for Highway 26 in accordance with the Township of Springwater, Ministry of Transportation and County of Simcoe By-Laws.
