Significant Weather Event Declaration Lifted - March 10

As of 7:30 a.m. on March 10, the Significant Weather Event, originally declared on March 7, has been lifted in the Township of Springwater. All roads in Springwater have re-opened and standard timelines for winter maintenance will begin again.

The Elmvale Emergency Warming Centre, located at the Elmvale Community Hall, is now closed. The significant weather event remains in place. Motorists are asked to adjust their driving to the current conditions.

Please be advised that road conditions in the Township are worsening due to high winds, drifting snow and white out conditions. Motorists are asked to avoid any non-essential travel today in the Township of Springwater. Winds are expected to increase this afternoon, further deteriorating the conditions.
