The Township of Springwater is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Collver as Director of Recreation, Parks & Facilities effective April 8, 2024.
Director Collver brings a wide range of expertise to the position with over twenty years of senior management experience. Most recently, he has served as the Town of Collingwood’s Director of Parks, Recreation, and Culture. Additionally, he was the Director of Community Services with the Municipality of Amherstburg.

Fort Willow Archaeological Dig Funding Request
Council has requested additional financial information regarding a funding request to assist with the busing costs related to a six-week archaeological dig at Fort Willow in Springwater. The dig is part of a course offer by St. Joseph’s High School in Barrie that includes three months of in-class lessons on archaeological theory and method, followed by six weeks of archaeological excavation.
