The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will be flushing watermains for the Township of Springwater on operated water systems in the Township. It is very important that residents REDUCE water use from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. so that we may effectively complete maintenance on the water systems.
For areas being swabbed, we ask that residents stop using water during these hours. Thank you for your cooperation!

Township of Springwater / April 8, 2020 – With the return of warmer weather, Springwater is experiencing an increase of off-road vehicle enthusiasts on our roadways.
In March, Springwater Council approved the use of off-road vehicles on municipal roadways with a few exceptions. The Township is reminding riders to follow the rules of the road and abide by all safety precautions when operating an off-road vehicle. The following rules apply:
- Users must abide by all Highway Traffic Act regulations;

The burn ban instituted by the Province on April 2, 2020 does NOT include the Township of Springwater. Residents are still permitted to burn, provided they have purchased a valid permit. Springwater Fire & Emergency Services asks that you review the rules listed on your permit.
Should a burn ban be implemented in Springwater, notice will be provided on the Township website, Twitter and Facebook.

Simcoe County Councillor John O’Donnell passed on last week after battling cancer. John served as a Councillor in the Township of Ramara since 2000. Since 2014, John has been Deputy Mayor and on County Council, where he made further significant contributions. He served his community with passion and dedication and he will be missed.
