Council of the Township of Springwater will hold a hybrid public meeting (in person at the Township Administration Centre and virtually via Zoom) to consider the following planning application on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m.:

Today, Enbridge Gas Ontario (Enbridge Gas) and Springwater Fire and Emergency Services announced they are working together to improve home safety and bring fire and carbon monoxide-related deaths down to zero.

As of 7:00 a.m. on January 7, 2026 the significant weather event declaration has been lifted for the Township of Springwater. As a result, standard timelines for winter maintenance will begin again.

The significant weather event was declared on December 28, 2025, under Ontario’s Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways (Ontario Regulation 239/02), due to the current and forecasted weather conditions affecting roads and sidewalks that are maintained by the Township of Springwater. 

The Township of Springwater advises that the following roadways have reopened after being closed on December 28, 2025, due to severe weather conditions:

• Flos Road 4 west from 27 to 15/16 Sunnidale Side Road

• Flos Road 6 West from County Road 27 to 55 m northeast of Atkinson Road
• Flos Road 7 West from 73 m southwest of County Road 27 to 62 m northeast of Vigo Road
• Flos Road 8 West from County Road 27 to 177 m northeast of end of road
• Flos Road 11 West at County Road 27, to Eastdale Drive, to Twin...

The Township of Springwater continues to experience a significant weather event resulting in extremely hazardous road conditions across the municipality.

Township crews are working around the clock to open roadways; however, due to the volume of snow, drifting, and ongoing weather conditions, snow clearing and road reopening will take time.
