Residential Structure Fire in Springwater

On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Springwater Fire and Emergency Services responded to reports of a structure fire on Amelia Street in Elmvale.

The event involved support from all four fire stations and deployment of aerial apparatus. Firefighters arriving at the scene encountered heavy flames engulfing the roof, with rapid fire spreading throughout the residence.

Please be advised that all roads have reopened:

Queen Street West - County Road 27/Yonge
Street to Usher Road has reopened.
Stone Street - Lawson Avenue to Lent Street
Peter Street and George Street - West of Maria Street
Amelia Street - Queen Street West to George Street

The road closures were put in place on November 11 due to a structure fire that was being managed by Fire and Emergency Services.
