Property maintenance standards
We do not have a property maintenance standards by-law. Tenants with concerns about the maintenance of their rental property should contact the Landlord and Tenant Board. Clearly state in your complaint that the Township of Springwater does not have a property maintenance standards by-law, or the tribunal may redirect your call back to the Township.
If you have a concern about garbage on a property within the Township, refer to the Waste Control By-law. We also have a Clean, Safe Properties By-law that outlines regulations on unsightly properties (e.g. derelict vehicles and boats, long grass, and damaged trees or buildings).
