Septic Re-inspection Program
More than five years have passed, and it is time again for our Orr Lake septic re-inspection program. This program will be running from July until November. If you received a notice, your property has been identified as possibly containing a septic system within 50m radius of Orr Lake, and therefore considered a potential risk to the health of the lake. Inspections will be focusing on surface discharge of effluent, obvious signs of damage to bed, tank, or structures on or near septic system components.
As part of this program, you will need to provide a copy of your most recent pump out receipt, identify when last pumped (Completed within the last 3 years) to building@springwater.ca or identify when last pumped to a municipal inspector on-site.
If your re-inspection is conducted by the municipality there will be no additional cost to you as a property owner. To book this inspection you can use our inspection request form.
If you do not wish to have a municipal inspection, a third-party certificate can be provided at your own cost from a qualified individual with no conflict of interest. This individual can be qualified with a valid BCIN number related to on-site sewage or a Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect. You can email a copy of the certificate to building@springwater.ca.
