Calling All Young Artists: Springwater Holiday Card Colouring Contest Now Open!

The Township of Springwater is pleased to launch the second annual Holiday Card Colouring Contest, inviting residents and students to submit original artwork for a chance to be featured on the Township’s official holiday card.

The contest is open to all residents of Springwater and to students attending schools within the Township. Entrants will be judged in two age categories: 10 years and under, and 11 to 18 years. This year’s theme is “Winter in Springwater,” and submissions should be suitable for use on a holiday card. A variety of artistic mediums are welcome. Participants may submit their artwork on the reverse of the submission form or on an 8.5" x 11" sheet.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 28, 2025. Artwork must be delivered to the Township Administration Centre at 2231 Nursery Road and must include a completed and signed submission form. Packages should be clearly marked “Township Holiday Card Entry.”

The winning entrants must agree to have their name appear on the finished holiday card, and to transfer all copyrights of their artwork to the Township of Springwater. Additionally, their original artwork will be displayed at the Township Administration Centre. Winners will also receive a special Springwater prize pack.

The winning entries will be selected by Springwater Council. While the Township of Springwater will take great care with all submissions, it will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to the artwork. Non-winning entries will be held for pick-up until Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Township Administration Centre, which is open during regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

We encourage all creative young minds to get involved and depict their vision of ‘Winter in Springwater’. Your art could be the face of our community’s holiday cheer this year.
