Commencement of Kerr Street Reconstruction Project

The Township of Springwater will begin the reconstruction of Kerr Street, in Elmvale from Yonge Street to Shaw Street, on Monday, May 26, 2025. The reconstruction project involves the installation of a new sanitary sewer, including extending service lines to each property. It also includes the partial replacement of the water main and the relocation of storm infrastructure. New sidewalks, curbs, and gutters will be constructed as part of the project. The work will also include laying new asphalt, performing line painting, and creating a new crosswalk at Shaw Street, in addition to installing new traffic signs.

The project will continue throughout the summer, with completion expected by December 1, 2025.

This vital project has been awarded to Georgian Paving as the constructor and will be overseen by TY Lin, who will provide contract administration and inspection services on behalf of the Township.

Regular waste collection and mail delivery services will continue as usual. During the construction, one lane of traffic will remain open for residents to ensure accessibility.

Construction and advisory signs will be installed prior to the commencement of work. Members of the public are reminded to adhere to these signs to ensure their safety and the safety of the workers.
