Please be advised that the Midhurst Heights External Forcemain Construction project (“Works”), which was awarded to Earth Boring Company Ltd. (“Contractor”) will continue into 2025.

The Contractor is preparing to re-mobilize and proceed with works along Finlay Mill Road from immediately north of Spence Avenue, south, to Highway 26. In order to facilitate the installation of the linear infrastructure south of Spence Avenue to Highway 26, a traffic control plan will be implemented that will detour southbound travellers along Doran Road to Highway 27 or alternatively along Wattie Road to St. Vincent Street. Access to Finlay Mill Road via Cowdray Park Lane and Wattie Road will remain for northbound travellers with left turn lanes being restricted and via Spence Avenue with right turn lanes being restricted. Access to Finlay Mill Road from Highway 26 will remain for northbound travellers via a single lane, however, southbound access to Highway 26 via Finlay Mill Road will be prohibited.

This work is scheduled to commence as early as Monday February 10, 2025. It is anticipated that the works and associated Traffic Control Plan will be in place until Spring 2025. Future notices will be issued to advise stakeholders and residents as to when the works are complete, and the traffic control plan is to be removed.

Similar to previous phases of construction, signage will be erected prior to construction works. As depicted in the illustration below, southbound traffic will be directed to Highway 27 via Doran Road, or alternatively, to St. Vincent Street via Wattie Road. Signed detour routes will be provided to direct motorists around the lane restriction. We advise that when driving or walking through and around the construction work zone, that you follow and obey the construction signage for your safety and for the safety of the workers. A detailed traffic control plan is provided below.

You will experience some delays and inconvenience during this time, and in this regard, we respectfully ask for your cooperation and patience in order to complete this project in a timely and efficient manner. Should you have any questions or concerns related to this project, please contact the following project team:
