Notice: Public Information Session - Water and Wastewater Rate Study

The Township of Springwater will be hosting a Public Information Session for the Water and Wastewater Rate Study completed in 2023 by Watson’s and Associates Economists Limited. The session is intended to provide information to water/wastewater users on the process of setting water and wastewater rates.

The presentation by Watson’s and Associates will highlight the following:

The current water and wastewater rates;
The proposed water and wastewater rates;
Justification for any changes to the rates with the assumptions used to establish the proposed rates.

When: Tuesday November 21^st, 2023 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Where: Council Chambers Township of Springwater Administration Centre, 2231 Nursery Road.

When will a Decision be made?

The proposed changes will be presented to Council for review after the Public Information Session and will be considered at a future Council meeting.

How can I make my views known about the proposed changes?

Comments at the Public Information Session aid the Township and Council in their decision making process. Be sure to have your say!

Any person or agency may attend the Public Information Session and/or make verbal or written comments regarding the 2023 Water and Wastewater Study.

How do I submit my comments?

If you would like to submit comments in writing, submit your written comments request during regular office hours (Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) to the Finance Department at the Township of Springwater, 2231 Nursery Road, Minesing, ON, or by email to jasvinder.rattigan@springwater.ca. Verbal comments may be submitted by contacting 705-728-4784 Ext 2021.

Please note that any submitted comments become part of the public record, including names and addresses. Written and verbal comments are due by 8 am on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 so that they may be read at the Public Meeting on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 for the benefit of everyone in attendance.

All personal information submitted for, or at a Public Meeting, Public Consultation, or other Public Process are considered part of the public record, including resident deputations and written comments.
