Temporary Road Closures in Effect for the Township of Springwater

As a result of deteriorating weather conditions the following roads are temporarily closed in the Township of Springwater.

Current road closures:

• Flos Road 6 West from County Road 27 to 55 m northeast of Atkinson Road
• Flos Road 7 West from 73 m southwest of County Road 27 to 62 m northeast of Vigo Road
• Flos Road 8 West from County Road 27 to 177 m northeast of end of road
• Flos Road 11 West at County Road 27, to Eastdale Drive, to Twin Pines Drive
• Ushers Road from 32 m northwest of Flos Road 7 West to Tiny Flos Townline
• Vigo Road from 38 m southeast of River Road West to Flos Road 4 West
• Atkinson Road from 42 m northwest of Flos Road 4 West to Ryther Road
• Crossland Road at Flos Road 5 West, to Flos Road 5 West, to 315 m northeast of end of road
• Flos Road 5 West from County Road 27 to 141 m northeast of end of road
• Tiny Flos Townline from Ushers Road to 47 m northeast of end of road

• Flos Road 10 West from Yonge Street North to Vigo Road

The Elmvale Community Centre is available as a warming centre. This facility is available to stranded motorists in need of a safe and warm place to stay.

A reminder that the Township of Springwater remains under a Significant Weather Event declaration, due to the current and forecasted conditions. Winds are expected to increase this evening, further deteriorating the conditions. Avoid any non-essential travel until conditions improve. If you must go out, ensure your full headlighting system is activated, drive to the conditions and give plow operators plenty of room to do their job effectively.
