Township of Springwater Declares Significant Weather Event

UPDATE: As of 3:40 pm on February 8, the significant weather event declaration has been lifted in the Township of Springwater. As a result, standard timelines for winter maintenance will begin again.

UPDATE: As of 6:30 pm on February 7 all roads in Springwater have re-opened. Motorists are urged to continue to use caution and drive to the conditions. The Significant Weather Event declaration remains in place.

Township of Springwater / February 7, 2025 - The Township of Springwater has declared a significant weather event, as of 10:30 a.m. on February 7, 2025.

The significant weather event has been declared due to blowing snow and reduced visibility on roads throughout the Township.

The declaration is made as it relates to Ontario’s Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Roads and isn’t notice of a reduced level of service or a road closure. It is to notify the public that due to the current or forecast conditions, caution is to be observed when travelling on roads maintained by the Township of Springwater as it may take longer than usual to bring the roads back to optimal conditions.

Residents are asked to avoid unnecessary travel at this time.

The Township will issue public notice when this significant weather event has ended.

Flos Road 7 West
Flos Rd 8 West
Flos Road 10 West
Flos Road 11 West
Tiny-Flos Townline
Vigo Road from County Road 92 to Flos Road 4 West
Ushers Road from Tiny-Flos Townline to Flos Road 7 West
