The Township has a vibrant cultural history which includes festival and events, artisans and a diverse range of cultural organizations and activities. The Township is rich in cultural heritage, agriculture and wetlands. Whether is it realized or not, culture is experiences at all times and throughout Springwater.

Cultural Advisory Committee

In 2022, the Cultural Advisory Committee was amalgamated with the Heritage Advisory Committee, forming the new Cultural and Heritage Advisory Committee. This revitalized Committee is dedicated to the preservation of historical, cultural, and natural heritage within the Township of Springwater. The Committee convenes five times per year to discuss relevant matters and strategic initiatives. Municipal Cultural Plan

The Township of Springwater Municipal Cultural Plan provides a targeted strategy and implementation plan to capitalize on local assets and improve quality of life in the communities across the municipality. The purpose of the Plan is to leverage the cultural resources of the community to inform community development decisions, initiatives and investment.

Cultural Asset Inventory

The Cultural Advisory Committee is currently undertaking an initiative to develop an inventory of artists, artisans, writers, musicians, and/or performers who are local to the Township of Springwater. The main goal of this inventory exercise is to promote the cultural assets of Springwater - all of you.

By submitting your listing, you will provide the Township with information to support and enhance our local arts community. This will allow the Township to provide local organizations and event organizers with a guide to local artistic talent for event enhancement.
