The Township of Springwater is updating the existing Parks and Recreation Master Plan (2016) to guide the future planning of recreational facilities and services. As the municipality continues to grow, the Plan will assist the Township in guiding and managing the direction of parks, open spaces, programs, events, facilities, and amenities in a cost effective and sustainable manner.
Springwater has awarded Sierra Planning and Management the contract to update Springwater's Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

This is your opportunity to participate in the plan’s creation by adding your voice to the conversation. Check out our upcoming engagement opportunities. There will be a variety of community engagement opportunities as the plan develops. Over the course of the project, the consulting team will engage with a variety of stakeholders including community groups, sports organizations, community recreation associations, public/private/not-for-profit agencies, as well as the public. The goal of the updated Master Plan is to guide the direction of parks, open spaces, programs, events, facilities, and amenities in a cost effective and sustainable manner for the next 10 years. The Township will be hosting an initial Public Workshop on June 5th to provide an update on the project’s progress and hear about the strengths, opportunities, and issues related to parkland and recreation from the community’s perspective.
Public WorkshopDate: Monday, June 5 Time: 5:30pm - 8:00pm Where: Township Administration Center, 2231 Nursery Rd., Minesing Public Participation: Residents and stakeholders are invited to the workshop to engage with consultants, learn about the project and provide feedback to help inform the development of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan update. The workshop will have a formal presentation starting at 5:45pm followed by a small group and large group discussion around targeted questions to help shape the development and enhancements of the Township's Parks and Recreation facilities and programs for the next 10 years.
