Fall & Winter recreation programs and camps are now available for viewing. Programs will open for registration on August 28 at 10 am.

The Township accepts program registration and payment online through a third-party website. You must create an account to register and pay.
You can also register in-person at our municipal office during regular operating hours with cash, debit, credit or cheque.

Cancellation and withdrawal |
You can cancel or transfer your registration by calling 705-728-4784 x2078 or emailing our Recreation Department. You will receive:
We do not provide a refund or credit if you cancel within 7 days of the start of the program without providing a medical certificate. |
Concussion awareness |
The Rowan's Law concussion awareness rules came into effect on July 1, 2019. Although we do not offer competitive sports, we believe that every athlete, parent of an athlete, coach or official should be aware of the new legislation and concussion awareness resources. |
Participate in Barrie recreation programs |
The Township has an agreement with the City of Barrie that allows Springwater residents to participate in Barrie recreation programs at the same rate as a Barrie resident. Find Barrie recreation programs and registration details on their website. |

What are Drop-In Programs |
Drop-In Programs: These programs are just that- drop in at the date and time listed! All drop-in programming located at Elmvale District High School (EDHS) will be for unstructured fun recreation and non-competitive play.
These times are open to all ages, please share the court space. |
Drop-In Program Guidelines |
We ask that the following guidelines be adhered to for the safety of all users.
Drop-in Pickleball Guidelines Casual, non-competitive pickleball play is on a first come, first served basis. To make it fun for everyone, if participants are waiting to use the courts, the players have 10 minutes maximum to play before surrendering the court to the next group. Drop-in Pickleball times are social sessions — mix up groups and teams during the games.

City of Barrie Non-Resident Recreation Fee Agreement
Springwater residents are eligible to participate in any recreation program offered by the City of Barrie at the same rate and with the same guidelines as a resident of Barrie.
Rzone
The Township of Springwater has a Rzone Policy that sets expectations for behaviour at our facilities and sports fields and in our parks and programs. The "R" in Rzone stands for respect and responsibility:

VON SMART Program
VON SMART is a low impact gentle fitness program specifically designed for adults 55+ to help build muscle strength, balance, endurance, flexibility and mobility. It will be hosted for free at the Elmvale Community Hall (33 Queen Street West) on Wednesdays at 10:00 am and Fridays at 11:00 am starting October 19, 2022. To register, contact the Georgian Bay SMART office at 705-355-2200. Walk-ins are also welcome!
