Trails Master Plan Update

The Township of Springwater is updating the existing Trails Master Plan (2009) to guide the future planning of trails, trail development and long-term maintenance over the next 10 years. As the municipality continues to grow, the Plan will assist the Township in guiding and managing existing and future goals for trails in a cost effective and sustainable manner.

Springwater has awarded Thinc Designs the contract to update Springwater's Trails Master Plan.

There will be a variety of community engagement opportunities as the plan develops. Over the course of the project, the consulting team will engage with a variety of stakeholders including community groups, community recreation associations, public/private/not-for-profit agencies, as well as the public. The goal is to identify and guide trail planning, design, management, maintenance and funding priorities as it relates to trails development in Springwater.

The combined input from council, residents, business, stakeholders and staff will be used to shape the outcomes, strategies and recommendations for trail networks contained in the plan.
