    Under the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, the Township establishes and maintains a public registry of pecuniary (financial) interests declared by council, committee and board members at a meeting.

    Disclosing an interest

    In disclosing a pecuniary interest, legislation requires a member to:

    1. Disclose their interest and the general nature of the matter prior to any consideration at the meeting
    2. File a written statement of their interest and its general nature with the Clerk using the Declaration of Interest Form
    3. Not take part in the discussion of or vote on any question in respect of the matter
    4. Not attempt in any way whether before, during or after the meeting to influence the voting on the matter
