Responsibilities of the Integrity Commissioner
Robert J. Swayze - Barrister & Solicitor act as an independent resource. The Integrity Commissioner's role is to:
- Keep officials aware of the requirements of the Code of Conduct
- Respond to requests from members of Council, boards or committees for advice regarding their obligations and compliance
- Conduct inquiries and investigations into alleged contraventions of the Code, make decisions and recommend penalties
- Report annually to Council on the activities of the office
