Elmvale District Highschool Donation Fund Ad Hoc Committee Funding Recommendation - Elmvale District Highschool Fitness Centre Equipment

Council approved up to $32,000 from the Elmvale District High School fundraising account to purchase new fitness equipment for the EDHS Fitness Centre. Council also directed staff to report back on options to open the upgraded fitness centre for public access.

2024 Audit Planning Report

Council received the Township’s 2024 audit planning report from external auditors, Baker Tilly KDN LLP, as part of the annual reporting process required under the Municipal Act.

Midhurst Heights Phase 1A – Fourplex Block Encroachment

Council received a zoning by-law amendment application for Phase 1A of the Midhurst Heights subdivision, which is located within Neighbourhood 2 of the Midhurst Secondary Plan area.

Award of Tender – Dust Suppressant

Council awarded the 2026–2027 dust suppressant contract to Da-Lee Dust Control Limited in the amount of $496,800 excluding HST.

Award of Fire & Emergency Services, Station 5 Renovations

Council awarded the Station 5 renovation project to K. Knight Contracting Ltd. for $310,573.26 excluding HST.

Barrie Soccer Club Dome Loan Guarantee

Council referred the Barrie Soccer Club dome loan guarantee item back to staff for additional information before making a decision.

Improving Water Billing and Leak Detection for Better Customer Service

Council directed staff to report on whether Springwater should adopt automated meter reading so residents and staff can access real-time or near-real-time water use data to help detect leaks and support water conservation. Staff will investigate options for a leak forgiveness program for verified leaks, along with estimated costs, funding sources, timelines, and operational impacts.
