Current projects and public consultation

The Township of Springwater is working with the Severn Sound Environmental Association to develop a Local Climate Change Action Plan. Springwater joined the Partners for Climate Protection program in March 2022 and has committed to achieving five (5) milestones within ten (10) years. The milestones require the Township to calculate a corporate and community baseline, set a target for reduction and then develop and adopt a final plan.

Residents, user groups and interested stakeholders are invited to attend the upcoming public open house regarding the Township’s Fees and Charges review, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Township of Springwater Administration Centre, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The open house will provide an opportunity for attendees to review the proposed fees and charges, ask questions about the proposed rates, and share feedback before recommendations are presented to Council, as part of the 2027 budget cycle.

The review of fees and charges looks at municipal fees and charges to ensure they continue to support consistent service delivery while reflecting the current costs and industry best practices.

Information boards for the upcoming open house will be made available on the website for anyone who cannot attend the event in-person.
