Temporary Repairs to the Hillsdale Water Tower Completed

The Township of Springwater responded to an issue with the Hillsdale water tower on March 2, 2026, where a leak had been identified at the base of the structure. The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) and their contractors remained on-site throughout the evening and were able to complete a temporary repair.

Water has since been restored to the water tower and regular operations have resumed. Residents in Hillsdale are no longer asked to reduce all non-essential water usage and may proceed as normal.

The Township would like to reassure residents that municipal drinking water remains safe. There is no boil water advisory in effect and there is no risk to the safety of the Township’s drinking water.

Permanent repairs are to be completed in the spring. Notice will be provided through the Township website and official Township social media channels once timelines have been confirmed.
