Township of Springwater Seasonal Load Restrictions to Commence Monday, March 9, 2026

Effective Monday, March 9, seasonal load restrictions will be in place on roads throughout the Township of Springwater.

This decision was made in accordance with information provided by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Reduced Load Period Calculator.

The Township of Springwater follows seasonal load restrictions as per Section 122 of the Highway Traffic Act and By-law 2024-033, restricting loads on most Township roads to 5 tonnes per axle.

The imposed weight restriction helps protect the structural integrity of Township roads during spring thaw, when road damage is most likely to occur.

The load restriction period for the 2026 season will commence March 9, 2026, and remain in effect through to April 30, 2026, unless otherwise stated on the Township’s official channels.
