COVID 19 - MUNICIPAL SERVICES IMPACTS
The Township of Springwater is taking precautions to help protect our vulnerable residents. Following a meeting of the Emergency Management Team the Township has made the difficult decision to cancel all programming and close some facilities, effective Friday, March 13 at 12 midnight. The closures and cancellations will remain in effect until further notice.
To register for camps, team sports, fitness classes, leisure activities and more in the Township of Springwater, please follow the steps below.
Step 1. Find a program
The seasonal Recreation Guide has times, locations, descriptions, activity codes and fees for registered and drop-in programs.
Step 2. Register and pay
The Township accepts program registration and payment online through a third-party website. You must create an account to register and pay.
You can also register in person at our municipal office during regular operating hours with cash, debit, credit and cheque.
Flexible class pass
Pickle pass |
This pass will allow you to participate in Tuesday night pickleball at Elmvale District High School (EDHS) from 7:00 -10:00 pm. The Pickle Pass can be purchased online or at the Township Administration Centre. Please bring your pass to each session you attend. Cost: $20/5 sessions, $40/10 sessions |
Older adult fitness pass |
Drop into any older adult fitness class using your Flexible 5 Class Pass. No commitment, no hassle! Get your pass in person at any Springwater Public Library branch or at the Township Administration Centre. Passes cost $38. |
Registration policies
Cancellation and withdrawal |
You can cancel or transfer your registration by calling 705-728-4784 x2078 or by emailing our Recreation Department You will receive:
We do not provide a refund or credit if you cancel within 7 days of the start of the program without providing a medical certificate. |
Concussion awareness |
The Rowan's Law concussion awareness rules came into effect on July 1, 2019. Although we do not offer competitive sports, we believe that every athlete, parent of an athlete, coach or official should be aware of the new legislation and concussion awareness resources. |
Participate in Barrie recreation programs |
The Township has an agreement with the City of Barrie that allows Springwater residents to participate in Barrie recreation programs at the same rate as a Barrie resident. Find Barrie recreation programs and registration details on their website. |
Rzone
The Township of Springwater has a Rzone Policy that sets expectations for behaviour at our facilities and sports fields and in our parks and programs. The "R" in Rzone stands for respect and responsibility:
