Grants and Assistance Programs

The Township of Springwater has two primary assistance programs: the Community Assistance Program and the Springwater International Competition Grant. We also have a Community Improvement Plan, which offers funding to local businesses for a variety of improvements and renovations.

Community Assistance Program

Effective March 5, 2025, the Community Assistance Program has been officially concluded. This initiative previously supported residents, families, individuals, and non-profit charitable organizations within Springwater.

Springwater International Competition Grant

Inspired by local residents competing at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, we introduced the International Competition Grant. This funding opportunity provides financial support to young athletes in Springwater competing at an international level. This grant provides a one-time $1,000 contribution per specific request, with a maximum of two grants awarded annually on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Springwater International Competition Grant has now closed. The next grant cycle will open in January 2026.

Other funding opportunities

The annual Springwater Swing Golf Tournament raises funds for needs within the community. Past events supported:

• School trips involving students who live in Springwater
• Physician recruitment efforts
• Donations to local food banks
