Contribution to Elmvale Minor Hockey Nordic Experience
Council will donate $750 to support the Elmvale Minor Hockey Nordic Experience. The Nordic Experience includes 29 children taking a 10-day trip to Sweden and Finland where they will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture and engage in exhibition games with local teams. The donation will be funded through the proceeds of the 2023 Springwater Swing Golf Tournament.

Township of Springwater / December 6, 2023 – Springwater Council officially adopted the Township’s 2024 Budget & Business Plan at a meeting held on December 6.
The Township’s 2024 Budget was approved with a 1.22% net tax increase over 2023 rates. When combined with the County of Simcoe’s approved tax increase of 3.7% and the education rate which is assumed to remain neutral, residents can expect to see a 1.83% blended tax increase on their 2024 property tax bill.

The capital projects taking place on Houden Street, Simcoe Street, Bertram Drive, Archer Crescent, and Nash Avenue have now finished up for the winter. Some minor deficiencies will be addressed in the spring of 2024.
Project improvements included road resurfacing, new concrete sidewalks, and curbs along Simcoe St and Houden, plus drainage improvements within the construction zone.
The Township thanks residents for their patience throughout these capital projects.
