Notice of Construction for works on Gill Road from Doran to White Cedar Road

Please be advised that the Midhurst Heights External Forcemain Construction project (“Works”), awarded to JB Enterprises (“Contractor”), will continue throughout July and August along Gill Road.

Overview

The Contractor will be working along Gill Road from Doran Road to just north of White Cedar Parkway. 

Schedule 

Construction is scheduled to commence approximately August 4, 2026, and continue until approximately October 16, 2026. See Key Map for details. 

Traffic Control Plan 

The traffic control plan that will be in place throughout August to October will be as follows: 

• Partial lane closure of Gill Road from Doran Rd to north of White Cedar Parkway
• Flagmen will be in place to control traffic through the affected work zone
• Construction equipment will be removed off of the road at the end of each day and the work zone will be made safe
• Construction zone will be reopened at the end of each day and on weekends allowing two-way traffic

Safety and Construction Signage 

Similar to previous phases of construction, signage will be erected prior to construction works. We advise that when driving or walking through and around the construction work zone, that you follow and obey the construction signage for your safety and for the safety of the workers.
