Notice of Road Closures for Bridge Replacements

The Township of Springwater would like to advise affected residents of the upcoming road closures for bridge replacements as part of the Township's 2026 Capital Projects Plan.

As a result, the following roads will be temporarily closed to through traffic:

·         Flos Road 10 West from Yonge Street North (County Road 27) to Ushers Road

·        Flos Road 11 West from Ushers Road to Crossland Road (County Road 29)

Construction is anticipated to begin August 24, 2026, and is expected to continue until October 2026, weather permitting and subject to change.

The Township has retained Arnott Group to complete the replacement and rehabilitation. This work is being undertaken to replace the existing bridge with new concrete box culverts.

During construction, residents may experience temporary inconveniences, including dust, noise, vibration, and construction traffic. The Township and its contractor will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruptions and complete the work as efficiently as possible. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Traffic control measures, including detour signage and cones, will be in place to guide motorists safely around the work zone via a detour.

Garbage, recycling, and organics collection are expected to continue on regular collection days. Residents are asked to clearly mark their address on all containers and place materials curbside by 7:00 a.m. If required, collection items may be temporarily relocated by the contractor to facilitate pickup and then returned later the same day.

Residents are reminded to use extra caution in and around the construction zone. For everyone’s safety, please do not enter closed work areas and ensure children and pets are kept a safe distance from equipment and materials.
