Section of Hunter Russell Trail Closed due to Erosion Damage

Please be advised that the section of the Hunter Russell Trail between Green Pine Park and Wattie Road has been closed as a result of erosion damage and will remain closed until further notice.

Following reports of erosion damage to the trail, staff investigated the area and found it to be unsafe for public access and use, resulting in the closure.

Investigation will continue to assess the extent of the damage and explore options for repairs.

The trail remains accessible from Cairns Boulevard through to Green Pine Park and from North of Findlay Mill Road to Doran Park.

The Township is urging the public to avoid the area of closure until repairs can be made. 

At this time, there is no timeline for reopening. Further information will be shared to official Township channels once available.
