Arena Information

Elmvale Community Arena, located at 14 George Street, has an extended ice season from September to April. The arena features:

  • A 180' x 88' ice surface
  • Seven dressing rooms
  • Rental of the multipurpose “Springwater Room”

 

Public Skating

Please note that the ice surface will be removed beginning at 3:00 p.m. on October 4, 2026, to accommodate the Elmvale Fall Fair, taking place over Thanksgiving weekend.

This special skating time is specifically for preschoolers and their parents. Skate aids may be brought. Tots must wear a CSA approved helmet.

Schedule (Starting September 8, 2026)

Tuesdays: 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Thursdays: 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Fees

  • Children: $1.00
  • There are no fees for adults accompanying a preschooler or homeschool student under 13 years of age for this skate time.
  • Payment can also be made at the gate (cash only). Please have exact change.

Our Seniors Skate offers a leisure skate time specifically for mature adults. Adult & Senior skating will take place according to the following schedule.

Schedule (Starting September 10, 2026)

Mondays: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Thursdays: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Fees

  • Adults: $3.00
  • Seniors: $2.00
  • Payment can also be made at the gate (cash only). Please have exact change.

Our All Ages Public Skate offers a leisure skate time open to everyone.

Schedule (Starting September 12, 2026)

Saturdays: 11:40 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.

Sundays: 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.

Fees

  • Children: $1.00
  • Student (age 14-18): $2.00
  • Adults: $3.00
  • Payment is required at the door (cash only). Please have exact change.

Notes:

  • All participants are required to wear skates. CSA approved helmets are strongly recommended.
  • Please note that the ice will be removed from October 4 at 3:00 p.m. to accomodate the Elmvale Fall Fair taking place on Thanksgiving weekend.

Fridays: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Fees

$10.00 per person. Payment is requiried at the door (cash only). Please have exact change.

Notes:

  • All participants must wear full hockey gear and a CSA approved hockey helmet (cage recommended)
  • Goalies are exempt from the fee
  • Games are non-contact
  • Maximum number of participants: 30 players + 4 goalies/session

Skating Drop-ins:

  • Only persons with skates shall be permitted on the ice.
  • Skate in the same direction as other skaters.
  • It is recommended that all skaters wear CSA approved helmets.

What is not permitted on the ice:

  • Carrying children in arms
  • Baby carriers and strollers
  • Food and drink
  • Sport sticks/pucks/toboggans and other items which might interfere with the safety of any skater
  • Figure skating maneuvers such as jumps and spins
  • Rough play such as tag, racing and games
  • Participants 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by a guardian who is a minimum of 16 years of age and older. Guardians must also register for the drop-in activity (fees may apply).
