The OPP's online Citizen Self Reporting tool allows you to report minor occurrences such as theft, mischief to property, lost property and driving complaints that occurred in areas policed by the OPP. In 2020, the Ontario government introduced new legislation that gave municipalities a greater say in what the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) does in their communities. Municipalities and First Nations within a common OPP Detachment were asked to work together to develop a shared proposal indicating the composition of their OPP Detachment Board(s). The Township of Springwater worked with the Town of Wasaga Beach and Township of Clearview to support the creation of an eleven member Board to serve the Huronia West catchment area.
