Elmvale gets a bus shelter
The Elmvale & District Lions Club graciously committed $7,500 towards a contemporary bus shelter in Elmvale. Council contributed the remaining balance of $1,200 in order to purchase a 5’x10’ bus shelter with solar LED lighting and a bench for community members.

The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will be flushing watermains for the Township of Springwater on an operated water system in your area. It is very important that residents REDUCE water use from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. so that we may effectively complete maintenance on the water systems.

After a 35-year career in the municipal sector, Springwater’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Robert Brindley has announced his retirement effective August 31, 2019.
Brindley began working for the Township in 2012. Prior to joining the Township, Brindley held various senior positions at the Cities of Brampton and Barrie, as well as the Towns of Caledon and St. Marys.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. on July 24, 2019, Springwater Fire & Emergency Services were called to a report of a structure fire and loud sounds on Finlay Mill Road in Midhurst.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found heavy fire involvement in the two-car, attached garage that had spread to the roof of the main dwelling. Firefighters from the Midhurst, Minesing and Elmvale stations began an aggressive attack to quickly contain the fire, but the structure sustained major smoke and water damage.
