Township of Springwater / April 1, 2020 – In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, on March 30 the Government of Ontario extended the Declaration of Emergency to include a new Emergency Order which includes the closure of parks, sports fields and communal or shared public spaces. As a result, the Township has extended its closure of playgrounds and fitness equipment to include all outdoor recreational amenities such as; sports fields, parks, tennis courts, and outdoor rinks.

Township of Springwater / March 25, 2020 – During a Special Council Meeting on March 25, Springwater Council voted in favour of providing relief to residents and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, through the waiving of penalties and interest for property tax and water/wastewater payments coming due.
